Note: The Ludington Daily News of Tuesday, June 29, 1922 reads: " WAHR-TIMPY NUPTIALS - A lovely church wedding was held yesterday morning at 9:30 high mass at the Sacred Heart church in Victory when Miss Margaret Timpy became the bride of Edward Wahr of Freesoil. Father John Ruba, uncle of the bridge, officiated. Father William Simon of Scottville and the choir of St. Jerome's church at Scottville were also present, the choir rendering several beautiful selections. The altar was prettily decorated with quantities of red rambler roses and small white daisies. The bride was charmingly attired in beaded white satin. Her long bridal veil was secured with white ornaments and a wreath of smilax. She carried a shower bouquet of white bride's roses. She was attended by her sister, Miss Anna Timpy, and Miss Anna Wahr, sister of the groom. Miss Timpy wore flesh pink satin and carried pink sweet peas. Miss Wahr, was in blue organdie and carried carnations. Both attendants wore dainty vine bandeaus with a heading of silk net. The groom was attended by his brother, Frank Wahr, and Anthony Raschka of Victory. Following the ceremony, a sumptuous wedding dinner was served to the immediate families and a number of intimate friends at the home of the bride's parents. Streamers of pink, white and blue adorned the rooms. The table was tastefully arranged with bouquets of roses. It was centered with a large pyramid bride's cake in white, surrounded by sprays of smilax. Mr. and Mrs. Will Anderson and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Timpy served. In the evening, festivities concluded with an old-fashioned barn dance, participated in by a large number of friends and neighbors who have known the bride since childhood. It was interrupted by the din of a charivari, without which no country wedding is quite complete. The members of the charivari party were prevailed upon, however, to join the throng and enjoy the delightful refreshments which were later served to the entire assembly. The spacious room where the dance was held was gaily festooned with colored streamers. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Timpy of Victory and is a well known member of Victory's younger set. The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. John Wahr of Freesoil. The young ocuple have a wide circle of friends who will wish them joy in their wedded life. They will reside on the groom's farm home near Freesoil, where he is completing a cozy home for his bride."
