 Emil R. Parks Obituary:
 Emil R. Parks, 76, who had lived here for several years near the home of his
 daughter, Mrs. Irvin Smith, died this morning in Riverside Convalescent Home at
 Chico. He had been ill since November and had been transferred to the home only
 about a week ago from Enloe Hospital.Parks was a native of Neb. and was a
 licensed mortician. He had kept up his license since moving west, but had operated
 a large chicken ranch at Lancaster, Los Angeles Co, before retiring and moving to
 Orland. He was a Mason, a member of the White Shrine here, and of the Grange
 Survivors include his wife, Florence, and daughter, Mrs. Louise Smith, both of
 Orland, and two sons living inthe Los Angeles area. Another son was killed in
 WWII. There are also 10 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
 Masonic funeral services are to be held at 2 p.m., Monday in the F.D. Sweet & Son chapel
 here.
