a. Note:   Volunteers, in which he served for ninety days. On August 27, 1863he re-enlisted and served unter Capt. John P. Johnson in Company K149th Regiment of the Pennsylvania Volunteers. While uilding a militarybreast works on th Welden Railroad in Virginia, George suffered adouble hernnnia and left the war, returning to Centre County Pennsylvaniewhere he remained for three years. He received an honoraable dischargeon June 24, 1865 at Elmira, New York.
 In 1867 the Dunlaps took their three young children to Minnesota wherethey settled in Dundas, Rice County. By 1876, they moved to Warrenin Marshall County, Minnesota. In 1885, George went to Duluth Minnesota,abandonig his family.
 Between 1890 and 1899 George was living at Neihart, Montana. He claimedto have divorced Frances in 1894 at White Sulphur springs, Montana.During a lumbering accident in 1897, George received an irreparablebraken collar bone. Two years latter he migrated to Republic, Washingtonwhere he worked as a bker until 1907 when heee entered th PacificBranch of the National Home for Disabled Veterands at Los Angeles,California. George Dunlap died there of chronic nephritis.
