Kenneth Lee Yarbrough II ----Kenneth Lee Yarbrough II, age 23 of Neosho, Mo. (Neosho is in Newton co., Mo.) passed away at 3:30 p.m.. Saturday, June 28, 2003 at Integris Baptist Regional Health Center in Miami, Oklahoma. ( Miami Okla. is in Ottawa, Co.) Born Nov 24, 1979 in Joplin, He was a lifelong area resident. He attended Joplin High School and worked as a tire and lube technician at 15th Street Wal-Mart in Joplin. On Oct 26, 2002 he married Alissa Ritchhart in Joplin. She survives. Additional survivors include a son Dakota Yarbrough: his parents Kenneth Yarbrough of Joplin, Louis and Carol Sanford of Joplin his sister, Teresa Yarbrough of Joplin;, his brother, Jonathan Yarbrough of Joplin; paternal grandparents, Pat Yarbrough of Joplin, Jean Yarbrough of Ada, Okla.; father-in-law, Ron Upton and his wife, Elizabeth of Quapaw, Okla.;Mother-in-law, Connie Cole-Toddle and her husband. Anthony of Neosho; Niece and nephew, Emily Yarbrough and Zach Cusick Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 1 at Parker Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. John Lukey officiating. Private interment will follow in Diamond Cemetery at a later date. Family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday at the mortuary. (Parker mortuary is in Joplin, Mo.) No. 2 Joplin Globe July 13, 2002-- Kenneth Yarbrough Sr.----- Kenneth Lee Yarbrough Sr., age 53, Joplin, passed away at 9 a.m. Friday, July 11, 2003 at his home after a sudden illness. Mr. Yarbrough was born Dec 5. 1949 in Corona, Calif. and had lived in the Joplin area since 1977 moving from Riverside, Calif. he was a United States Army veteran of the Vietnam War, serving with the 173rd Airborne Division. He served with the National Guard from 1980 to 190 in the 203 rd Engineer Battalion; and was honored with the National Defense Service Medal and Vietnam Campaign Medal. he worked as a Forman at Bagcraft, inc. for 13 years; and was a member of Faith Tabernacle. Survivors include a daughter, Teresa Yarbrough, Joplin; a son, Jonathan Yarbrough, Joplin; his father Rev. Pat Yarbrough, Joplin; his mother, Jean (Bailes) Yarbrough, Ada, Okla.; two sister, Tonna Sulier and Twyla Johnson, both of Joplin; and three grandchildren, Emily Yarbrough, Zachary Cusick and Dakota Yarbrough. Kenneth was preceded in death by his son Kenneth Lee Yarbrough II. Service will be Wednesday at 10 a.me. at Parker Mortuary Chapel. Joplin Luke, minister, will officiate, Interment will follow at Osborne Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 7 up.me. Tuesday at Parker Mortuary Chapel. MAYBERRY COLUMBUS GROVE -- Marjorie J. Mayberry, 84, of Columbus Grove, died at 9:05 a.m. Monday, Feb. 21, 2000 at Putnam Acres Care Center, Ottawa. She was born April 18, 1915 in Quincy, Ill. to Clark and Kathryn (Heckencamp) Holmes. She married Cloyce A. Mayberry on Dec. 31, 1936, and he died Aug. 20, 1981. Surviving are two sons, Thomas L. of Columbus Grove; John A. of Vaughnsville; two daughters, Kathryn A. Schumacher and Judith DeVelbiss, both of Columbus Grove; seven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers, James, John and William Holmes; and two sisters, Agnes Holmes and Dorothy Zeller. Mrs. Mayberry was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Columbus Grove. She was a past president and 50-year member of American Legion Auxiliary Unit 516, Columbus Grove. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Bernard Kokocinski officiating. Burial will be in Truro Cemetery, Columbus Grove.
