 He was born Nov. 13, 1944, in Morlington, Ark., to Helen (Harmon) Yarbrough. He graduated in 1962 from Huntington Beach High School in Huntington Beach, Calif.
 He married Patricia Mary Walsh on Nov. 12, 1977, in Bremerton. Mr. Yarbrough served in the Navy from 1962 to 1996, achieving the rank of warrant officer 2nd class. He was a highly decorated Naval officer and had been a Navy diver for 28 years.
 He enjoyed hunting and model planes. He was a member of the Methodist church.
 Survivors include his wife; his mother; three sons, Louis Gardner of San Juan Capistrano, Calif., Clifford Gardner of Bremerton and Michael Sorbel of Missouri; a daughter, Michelle Sedlickas of San Diego; a sister, Jeri Chavis of Colorado; and 11 grandchildren.
