a. Note:   Irv served in the Army Air Corps from 1942 to 1945. He was a Staff Sergant stationed in the South Pacific such places as Guam, Saipan, the Marianna Is.
 He graduated from Tri-State College in Angola, IN with a degree in Civil Engineering in 1952, and went to work for the Illinois State Highway Dept. In 1955 he took a job with the US Army Corps of Engineers in Washington, DC and moved his family from Grand Ridge, Illinois to Wheaton, MD. He was an active bowler, liked to play golf, and enjoyed his time with his grandchildren.
