Note: Married Esther G. Wenger, 1779.12.29 1848.6.4, C75 John was born on a farm along the Conestoga Creek, East Lampter Twp. Lancaster Co. In his father's will John was given 50 acres of the 223 acre plantation in Upper Leacock Twp. In 1808 John and Esther bought out the share of hiis brother Martin and his wife Nancy and thereby acquired ownership of the entire tract of 223 acres which his father orginally bought from James Scott. John and Esther lived their entire married lives on this
farm near Leacock. John was a carpenter as well as a framer. A portion of the farm is at presnet owned by Isaac W. Wenger, C729 C361 who is a collateral descendant of Esther Wenger. In 1812 John and Esther bought 400 acres at the Hellers Church
area, Lancaster Co. Both buried Stumptown Menonite Church Cem. Upper Leacock Twp.
