  Obituary for Emma Rankin:
  Services Held For Mrs. J. M. Rankin
  Mrs. J. M. Rankin passed away at her home Sunday afternoon, March 26, at 2:17 o�clock. Fun- eral services were held Monday afternoon, March 27, at 4 o�clock at the Methodist church. Rev. Mouzon Fletcher conducted the services, assisted by Rev. James Riley and Rev. R.G. Flaherty. Mrs. Rankin was born July 1, 1872, Pontotoc, Mississippi. She was married to J. M. Rankin, who preceded her in death March 19, 1950, in December 1891. They moved to Texas in 1914. Four children preceded her in death. She is survived by seven child- ren, O.M. Rankin of Canton, Mississippi, Mrs. W. L. Gates of Dallas, Mrs. Lillian Langston, Mel- vin Rankin and J.K. Rankin of Wills Point, Harvey Rankin of Lubbock and Charlie Rankin of Clinton, Miss. One Sister Mrs. Sam Addington, Water Valley, Miss., three brothers, W. R. Lew- ellyn and J.K. Lewellyn and Dee Lewellyn of Canton, nineteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive. Mrs. Rankin was a member of the Methodist church. Pallbearers were Russell Gallo- way, Chester Hardy, B.L. Knight, Joe Crow, Walter Lamb and B. L. Breckenridge. Interment was at Union Grove cemetery under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home. Out-of-town people attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Halbook, Mrs. Lydia Rankin and Mr. and Mrs. E.C. Gates of Edgewwood, Mrs. Virgil Waggoner and Billy of Bonham, Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Lewellyn of Wichita Falls and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Goss of Canton.
