  Myrl Rankin
  Funeral services for Myrl Rankin, 80, Lubbock, formerly of Wills Point, were held December 13, at 1:30 p.m. in the LyBrand Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with Rev. E.B. Beasley officiating. Burial was in the Union Grove Cemetery north of Wills Point. She died December 10 in a Lubbock hospital after a brief illness. She was born July 5, 1912, in the Union Grove community of Van Zandt County to James Amos and Cecil Valle Harris. She resided in Wills Point 32 years and was member of the Russell Memorial United Methodist Church. She was an employee of the Terrell State Hospital prior to retirement, and was member of the Business and Professional Women�s Club, Hannah Ruth Sunday School class, Merry Makers Band, Echo Club, and Veterans Auxiliary. She moved to Lubbock in 1991. She was precede in death by her husband, Harvie B. Rankin, in 1974. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Nancy Valle and Keith D. Hewett, Lubbock; three brothers, Dewitt Dodson Harris, Wills Point, James F. Harris, Mayflower, Arkansas, and Burnard �Junior� Harris, Midland; sister, Peggy Lou Stroud, Wills Point; two grandchildren, Carey Dale Hewett, and wife Dianne, and Pam Hewett, all of Lubbock; and great-grandchild, Adam Snell, Lubbock.
