Note: Orson was the grandson of Orson Avery Stearns, an early homesteader in the Klamath Basin, and lived his entire life in Klamath Falls. He served in the Army Air Corps during WWII and was honorably discharged in 1945. He worked at Ewauna Box Factory and was retired from Weyerhaeuser Timber Co. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and the Senior Swingers and Golden Age Clubs. He loved to dance! He danced 3 to 5 times a week. He also enjoyed fishing, sports, and games. In Memory of Orson the Batesville Casket Co., arranged for a tree to be planted in a National Forest to serve as a living Memorial.
