Note: ars. Took care of the horses and buggys. Drove the wemon to town whenever they wanted to go to town or any other errands. He married a full blood Irish lady. Mary Elizabeth (Molly) Dockery. Joe Baptist mother. She died when Joe was about 8 yrs old. Joe says he remembers she did washing and ironing to help our with family living. He remembers piles of clothes on the bed to be ironed. Later, Louis married a women from Arkansas by name of Belle Watkins. She sold books and bibles door to door. A house was built on the Osage Agency for Louis Baptiste and he lived there until he died. Joe and Rose Baptiste lived there until they moved to california. On a visit to Pawhuska in 1999 the house was still there and still in use.
