Notes
a. Note:   Diane I went to visit Julia "Doll" Briggs Younts today in the Nursing Home at Barco, N.C. and was talking about genealogy and mentioned you. She remember your Grandmother Odell Tillett and said she sure would like to see you and talk to you. I told her I didn't know where you lived but I would pass the message along. Doll's line runs from her Mother Lavinia Murrell d/o William Aydlotte Murrell and Marietta Tillett d/o Josiah Holly Tillett, She is 93 years old and very sharp!!!! If you have any questions in her era about the Tilletts she would be the one to go to. Her private phone number at the Nursing Home is 252-453-0770. On another subject have you ever seen a copy of Josiah Holly Tillett Bible? I have what appears to be a hand written copy but it is hard to follow and thought if you knew or had one it might would make this one more clear!! Also do you have proof of Josiah Tillett's father Thomas Tillett drowning in 1832? I once found it and cannot find it now. You can email me @ [email protected] or call me at 252-207-3811.   Thank you so much for the note. I have Mary Etta Murrell on my family tree and a copy of her portrait. It is wonderful that her daughter is still living, and I will try to call her. Unfortunately, I live in Savannah, GA and have not been to NC for a visit since my stepmother, Mary Duvall, passed away. I am retired and don't travel much so I doubt that I would be able to visit her in person. As for Josiah's Bible, I have not seen it. I have heard that he was quite a devil so I am surprised that he actually had a Bible! :-) Could you send me a copy? I would love to see it. Again, thank you for writing to me. Love, your cousin, Diane Duvall King [email protected] I am also on Facebook. Message in Sent
