  Life Legacy
Nancy Clayton, 73, passed away on Friday, February 5, 2016; from heart failure. She was born on August 21st, 1942 in Johnstown (Nanty Glo) PA to Charles and Mary Ellen Nicklow. Nancy grew up in Nanty Glo, a small coal mining town. After graduation, she followed her brother, Charles and moved to be with their Grandparents, Emerson and Edna Carney. Living in Prescott, Arizona, she met and married James Clayton in 1962. There they had 3 children: Maria, Gidget and Joseph. She and Jim divorced in 1982. She worked at Dunkin Donuts, where she loved greeting people by the wrong name. Although names werent her specialty, making people feel special was. Then she went to work for American Express in the Customer Service area. After fifteen years, she retired from Amex. In her retirement, she lived in her townhome and took care of her grandchildren, Joseph and Sara. Shortly afterward, Joe married Ginger and added to her family. She had a new granddaughter, Jocelyn and two more girls Lexi and Jeni. Life was full for Nancy, she moved in with Joe and became Grandma to the entire neighborhood. Her greatest joy in life came from being a Grandma, a Mama and helping to raise her grandkids Jocelyn, Sara, Joseph, Cat (Lexi), Jentini (Jeni) and as she would call her great-granddaughter, the amazing Rylee. In her Mama role, she became grandmother to so many over time. She had wrapped everyone in a warm blanket of love. I think this is what everyone will miss the most. And, of course her cakes. More than where she worked - we learned from her how to laugh, she had a great sense of humor. Even in the hospital: Doctor - What do you do? Mom: Sit and look cute. We learned to love Halloween, scary movies, how to sew and bake amazing cakes, Santa statues, and love of tea pots and how to make sure the computer never works. We learned that family is important and a passion for ancestors and their stories. We learned that life is what you make it, no matter how you struggle in life. Shes survived by her children, Joe and Ginger Clayton, Gidget Clayton, Maria Clayton. Grandchildren Jocelyn Chapman, Sara Clayton, Joseph Clayton, Cat (Lexi) and Jentini (Jeni) and Great Grandchild Rylee Schilk. As well as sibling, Linda Stubsky, Victor Nicklow, Jimmy Nicklow, Tiny Henry, June McCloskey Fox and Ruthie Skomra. She leaves behind lots of grandchildren of her heart - Kayla and her daughter, Alice. Danny and Sarah Bentivegna, the Marble kids, the Wunderle kids, and so many more. A life taken too soon and will never be forgotten. Her services will be held February 9th at 10am at Christ Church of the Valley (CCV). A site will be setup for those who want to view the services online. www.wewillmissyounancy.com The family is asking in lieu of flowers, if donations can be made in Nancys name at any of her charities: WWW.AZKIDNEY.ORG WWW.WOUNDEDWARRIORPROJECT.ORG WWW.RNC.ORG
