Miller Mrs. Ethel Blanche Miller, 76, of 2616 South Eleventh Street died in a local hospital early today, four days after she fell out of bed and fractured her right hip in her home. The family reported Mrs. Miller had fractured her left hip three months ago. Mrs. Miller was a native of dayton, Ohio, and a Fresno resident for more than 30 years. Her husband, Oliver Emmett Miller, Sr. died in 1961. She belonged to Calwa Methodist Church. Mrs. Miller is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Len Allen, Mrs. Lucille Whittemore, Mrs. Sally Keyes, and Mrs. Wilma Borton; a son Oliver Emmett Miller, Jr.; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, all of Fresno. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM tomorrow in the John N. Lisle tomorrow followed by interment in Fresno Memorial Gardens. My Grandfather Curnutt whose name was John Charles Curnutt was born in Princeton Ind. He was killed in the Civil War, date unknown. He was buried in the National Cemetery in Nashville. My Grandmother�s name was Nancy Newman. My Father was born in Ind. He had a little sister born in Ind., but died at an early. Beside her he was the only child born to this union. After the death of her husband my grandmother moved to Mossy Creek Tenn, now Jefferson City, Tenn. My Mother whose name was Elsie Bratcher was born in Dalton, Ga. Her Father was William and her Mother�s name was Nancy. She died May 5, 1872. She was buried in a cemetery in Mossy Creek, Tenn. My Father and Mother were married May 18, 1872, one month after her Mother died. They went to live with Grandmother Curnutt. She only lived four years after their marriage. She died of T. B. and was buried in Brazelton Cemetery out in the country. My Father and Mother had five children. Namely John Charles Curnutt, Deceased. Buried in Dayton, Ohio. Bessie Galyon, Deceased. Buried in Corinth Cemetery in Grainger Co., Tenn. Walter Curnutt, deceased, buried in Jonesboro, Ark. Webster Curnutt, Deceased, was buried in Mascot, Tenn. After the death of father my Mother lived as a widow for 11 yrs. Then she married William Stroud.
