Memories: Aunt Nettie was a favorite of mine growing up. Vicki and I would spend a week with her every summer. She had little in monetary things, but her heart would have held an ocean of love. She loved flowers and growing things. Her yard was filled with a garden patch and beds full of every blooming thing you can imagine. There were only narrow paths to walk amid the beautiful bursts of color. Flowers of every hue grew and flourished under her hoe. I, for one, certainly didn't inherit her green thumb. She took the time to let us know we were special and welcome. And we had fun. She treated us girls like Grandchildren and gave us attention and love without measure. Aunt Nettie was a wonderful lady with a heart of gold.
