Newman, 84, who formerly lived near Detroit, died at the home of his daughter, Mr. Irene Terry, north of Clarksville, Monday 10 Oct. 1949 at 6 p.m. Services were conducted at the Bluff Church Wednesday afternoon at 2 o�clock with burial at that place. Surviving are two sons and two daughters: Tom Newman and Mrs. Clarence Smith, Dallas; Wallace Newman, Wichita Falls and Mrs. Terry.

NEWMAN BURIED WEDNESDAY John Andrew Newman retired farmer of Negley, Route 6 died at his residence at 6 p.m. October 10. The Rev. John Donocak, pastor of the Detroit Methodith Chuch, conducted his funeral at Bluff Church at 12:00 O�Clock p.m. Wednesday. Burial was at Bluff Cemetery. Clarksville Funeral Home in charge. Pallbearers were Jack Stringer, Frank Northautt, Ed and Ralph Green, B. Lowery and Bill Dryden. Born in Tennessee, February 12, 1865 he had been a resident of this community where he died forty three years. He was married to Laura Kimbrow at Paris, October 12, 1897.
