  Military: "THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES" To all who shall see these presents, Greeting: Know ye, that reposing special trust and confidence in the patriotism, valor, fidelity and abilities of Taylor Erle Newman, I do appoint him Second Lieutenant of Infantry in the Army of the United States such appointment to date from the eleventh day of July, nineteen hundred and twenty eight.He is, therefore, carefully and diligently to discharge the duty of the office to which he is appointed by doing and erforming all manner of things thereunto belonging. He will enter upon active duty under this commission only when specifically ordered to such active duty by competent authority. He is survived by his wife, Clotilde M. Newman of Albuquerque. He was a member of the Catholic Church, a Vet if WWI and WWII and Rio Grande Barracks No. 17, a member of VFW Post 411 and Carlisle Bennett Post No. 13 American Legion. Rosary will be recited this evening at 7:30 p. m. in Fern Chapel with Strong - Thorne Mortuary. Mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 9:00 a. m. in Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Interment will be in Santa Fe National Cemetery at 11:30.
