  Tennessee, Wills and Probate Records, 1779-2008 Wills and Settlements, 1847-1852 Will P - 73 A written will and testament I, Elizabeth Churchman, Widow of Thomas Churchman Deceased of Grainger County and State of Tennessee, being of sound mind and disposing memory, do make and publish this my last will and testement hereby revoking and making void all other wills by me made at any time. 1st: I direct that any funeral expences and all my lawful debits be paid as soon as after my death as may be practible out of my money that may die possed of or that my first come unto the hands of my executor. 2nd: I give and bequeath unto Nancy Fancy Furgason my cover bed one cloth bed quilt and one sheet and one biscuit maker 3rd: I give and bequeath unto James Furgason fifty bushels of sound corn if there is that much on hand at my death. If not what ever there may be 4th: I give and bequeath unto Meredith Furgason one feather bed 5th: I give and bequeath nto Nancy Collett one feather bed and set of pillows, one sheet, one counterpane 6th: I give & bequeath unto Henry Furgason son of Rhoda Furgason Deceased one half of my money may be at hand after my funeral expences and debts is paid 7th: I give unto Thomas C. McBEE To all Persons Greeting, Whereas at our County Court held for the County of Grainger at the Courthouse in Rutledge on the 4th Monday of September 1848 it appeared to the Court that Elizabeth Churchman late of said County had died having just made her Last Will and Testament in which Isaac M. McBee was appointed Executor and the said will having been proved and admitted to record and the said Isaac M. McBee qualified as Executor. It was ordered that Letters of Testimony Issued. We therefore empower the said Isaac M. McBee to take into his possession all and singular the Goods & Chattels Rights and Credits of the said Testators wheresoever the same may be found and all just debts of said Testator are all legacies satisfied in said will well and truly to pay so far as the said Goods & Chattels rights & credits may extend and in all things to administer said Goods & Chattels rights & credits according to the Tenor of said Will and the Law of the land.
