J. (Bud) Shelton September 22, 1876 September 6, 1937 At Rest Father DEATH: "OBITUARY" Moulton Advertiser, Moulton, Lawrence County, Alabama HEART ATTACK PROVES FATAL A. J. (Bud) Shelton, 70, Lawrence County resident, was laid to rest this week, after having been the victim of a heart attack, Tuesday. He became ill while returning from his barn to his home and sat down to rest. He died there. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon at one o'clock at the residence of Dee Montgomery. Internment was made at Sivley Cemetary with Highsmith Funeral Home in charge. The deceased is survived by his wife, three sons, Esley and Polk Shelton, Moulton Route 2; and Phil Shelton of Trinity Route One; three daughters, Mrs. Sallie Gillespie, Mrs. Leona Bryant, Mrs. Cora Lee Gillespie and Mrs. Elzie Waters. Twenty-seven grandchildren also survive. DEATH: His Grandson, Abron Wayne Waters, said he was walking from the barn and sat down under a tree at the edge of the road. Health at this community is very good at present. The farmers are getting ready to plant their crops. A wagon load of people from Conway went to Oak Grove Easter and reported a very nice time. Ben Compton from Huntsville spent the week end with home folks at Conway. E. M. Shelton and family near Decatur spent the day with A. J. Shelton Sunday. Ask Esley Shelton how he likes to plow old shine and hear him say fine as long as she don�t kick. Grady Waters has got his little tin lizzy in running shape. Look Out.
