Willingham, bettr known as "Uncle Ike", who was born August 2, 1829, and departed this life April 25, 1920, and was interred at Old Bethel Cemetery April 26, 1920 and his funeral was preached at New Oak Grove last Sabbath by Bro. John A. Manesco, one of Alabama's most effiecient ministers and evangelists, to a large tear dimmed eyes congregation of friends and relatives. His discourse was on the "Rest that remainith to the people of God", and had one of the grandest revivals witnessed by the writer in many days. Old Bro. Willingham preached Christ's everlasting gospel for 40 or 50 years. He was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church and died in the triumph of a living faith and rests in hope of a glorious immortality. He was a good and kind husband and an affectionate father and genuine citizen and it behooves us all to emplify his life and we would admonish his beloved ones to sorrow not as those who have no hope realizing our loss is his eternal gain and can never return to us but we can go to him. We rest assured of the fact that he has gone where there is no more torture, pain, paralysis nor weeping overa sin cursed world.
