Note: David Shelby went to Wabash College in Crawfordsville and was a state representative in Indiana. He served as a captain during the Civil war and died from wounds obtained at the Battle of Altoona Pass, Georgia. His brother William reportedly went to Georgia looking for him and brought his body back on a flat wagon.
