a. Note:   Little is know of the boyhood days of William Bradford Bonney. At the age of twenty one he was married to Belina Finch, daughter of Joshua and Clarissa (Clark) Finch. They lived on a farm in Nelson township, Portage County Ohio until 1854, when they moved to Michigan. They settled on a farm one mile north of the Young's school, Bellevue township, Eaton County. Their six children, the eldest being Sarah Melissa, were born in Ohio.
  Mr. Bonney died in 1858 and was buried in the Spaudling Cemetery in Eaton Co., Michigan. His widow married Mr. O. P. Buck, June 22, 1864, and went to Ohio to live. After Mr. Buck's death in 1877, she returned to Michigan. The last three years of her life were spent with her daughter, Mrs. E. E. Owen. She died June 24, 1897.
