  Per his obit in the Cincinnati Enquirer, 24 Nov 1938, he was affiliated with Freiberg & Workum distillers for 69 years, retiring in March 1937. He was a past president of Cincinnati Lodge of B'nai B'rith, a trustee of Cincinnati Lodge of Masons No. 133, and a member of the Scottish Rite and of Rockdale Temple. During World War I he was chairman of one of the Cincinnati draft boards.
