Note: in District 1, Van Buren Co., Tn 1910 census 6 1920 KELL, Asa E. (1882-1950) A.E. Kell, 72, Former Member Of Court, Dies A.E. Kell, prominent second district farmer and for a number of years a meber of the Warren county court, died at hs home in the New Union community Tuesday evening at 10:15 o'clock. He had been ill only a short while and was 72. Funeral rites were conducted Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Shellsford Baptist Church with Rev. Creed McCoy officiating. Burial was in the Shellsford cemetery. Mr. Kell, native of Van Buren countyk, was born March 7, 1882. His parents were George E. Kell and Amanda Thomas Kell and he was married to Miss Lydia A. Hillis January 11, 1919. She survives. A member of the Baptist Church for over half a centur, Mr. Kell was a deacon of the Shellsford congregation. Besides his wife, he is survived by five sons John B. Kell, Leroy D. Kell and Thomas M. Kell, McMinnville, George E. Kell, Oklahoma and Asa E. Kell, Jr., Illinois; seven daughters, Mrs. Everett Bouldin, Viola, Mrs. Clarence Higginbothan, Mrs. James A. Julian, Mrs. Leonard Grissom and Mrs. Carson Upton, McMinnville, Mrs. Thurman Whitlock, Nashville and Mrs. Darwin Wiseman, Tullahoma. Also nineteen grandchildren.
