a. Note:   STIPE, George Samuel (1867-1952) George Samuel Stipe, former resident of Warren County, died Monday, February 11, in a Warren, Pa., hospital, following an illness of several months. He was 84 years of age. The body was brought to High funeral Home where funeral services were held Saturday morning at 10 o'clock with Rev. Burl Killian officiating. Burial was in Shiloh cemetery on Sparta Road, with Masonic Lodge of Doyle in charge of graveside rites. A native of Warren county, Mr. Stipe was born August 10, 1867. He was a son of Jake Stipe and Angeline Hankins Stipe and he was married to Miss Esthma Clementine Sparkman, who preceded him in death. For a number of years Mr. Stipe owned an operated a large farm on Nashville Road. He left here a few years ago to make his home with a daughter in Pennsylvania. He was a member of the Baptist Church and the Masonic Lodge. Survivors include three sons, John B. Stipe, McMinnville, Henry Stipe, Dickson, Calif., and Jake Stipe, Cleburne, Texas; five daughters, Mrs. Rhoda Grissom, Nashville, Mrs. Oris Blakesley, Guys Mill, Pa., with whom he made his home, Mrs. Harvey Cook, Lewisport, Ky., Mrs. Joe Martin, Royal Oak, Mich., and Miss Goldie Stipe, Ferndale, Mich.
