a. Note:   John Houchin lived in Goochland Co., VA for several years. He later moved to Buckingham and Amherst Counties in Virginia. In 1768, he purchased 95 acres of land, the last being one 200 acres lying on the north bank of Piney River. Not much is known of John and Martha Houchin They probably died about the year 1785.
 The children of John and Martha were; Edward, Charles, William, John, Francis, Moses, Elizabeth. Most of these children settled in Kentucky.
