Note: Little is known about our Father. We believe he was born in Sioux City Iowa. His Parents are Rodney Oliver Wiekel and Nellie Francis Geyer. We never knew our Grandparents for we lived in Calif. and they lived in Iowa. Our Father married our Mother: Delores Jane Robarge 1942 and We believe they married in Mexico. There is little family history avaliable to us thru our Fathers side of the Family. For all of his family has passed with the exception of our one Uncle Harold Everett Weikel which as of this date April of 2000 is still alive and living in San Diego Calif. We will continue to research our Fathers past inorder to find truth to back all information held within Our Weikel Family History Index.
We can only begin our Family History Story on our Father as of 1942 when he married our Mom. They settled in San Bernardino, Calif. Dad was 26 years of age and Mom was 19. Dad Married Mom when she was approximately 2 1/2 months pregnant with our brother Ray. Dad wasn't Ray's father. Ray's father is roportly a gentleman with the last name of Reynolds. The story was told that Mr. Reynolds and Mom were engaged when he went off to war. Missing in Action and presumed Dead our Father, whom was totally in love with our Mother for years and was Mr. Reynolds best friend, stepped in and married our Mother. Thus our Family began.
