Note: Frank came with his mother to the US from Germany when he was 7 years old. Settling in Schulenburg, Texas. He then moved to Sugar Land to work at the mperial Sugar Refinery. Em born in Oklahoma, moved to Sugar Land to live with one of her sisters. Frank and Em met at a barn dance, fell in love, and married May 02, 1920. Em being a housewife and mother stayed at home, not working for the public until 1940. At this time, she went to work at the Laura Eldridge Hospital becoming an LVN. She worked till 1968. Frank in the meantime worked at the sugar refinery and Sugar Land Utilities. He was always interested in hardball. He played baseball with a team from the refinery when he was young. He managed and coached a softball team of young men and high school students from 1939 to 1941. He was the first coach of the Sugar Land Lions Club Little League in 1955. Frank was also involved in the Sugar Land Fire Dept. holding the office of Fire Marshall. He was also involved in the Fort Bend County National Guard during W W II , with the rank of Captain. He retire from Sugar Land Utilities in 1962.
