 In the 1881 census recods him as married and lkiving with his parents at 12 Charlotte Street but where was his wife?
 By 1912 , when he drew up his last will and testament, he had moved to 109 Fortess Road Kentish Town.
 He appointed his brother George Christian of 16 Harrington Square and his wife Ada Louisa as executors. He refers to the shop at 10 Charlotte street as his freehold shop and dwelling place and a leasehold shop and dwelling house at 104 Osnaburgh Streetand leasehold premises at Gresse Street ,19 Charlotte Street, Windmill Street., 11 Edward Street.
