Note: Died in WWI, at Trones Wood in the battle of the Sommes, after being killed by a sniper. Donald Stewart Traill and he attended school together, George Watson's College. Hugh was seen as somebody who could have become prime minister, or Archbishop of Canterbury, etc. Went to Oxford following Watson's but joined up quickly when hostilities broke out, obtaining a commission based on his Officers' Training Corps experience at Watson's.
