Note: Uncle Dode as he was referred to, served in World War One Tennessee Infantry PL CO 17 and is buried in the Martin Family Plot at Knoxville Highland Cemetery, in Knoxville, TN.. Information obtained from military records and information from Aunt Flora.
I do know that Uncle Dode and his brother Clarence were very close. They enjoyed hunting and fishing together when younger.
It is my understanding that he was severely injured while serving his country. Since his next of kin is still living I could not pull these records.
