Note: REFN1 ! Paul St. Clair bought the original St. Clair home site in the 30's. Heleft it to his five children and they sold the farm to Larry Britt in the 90's. This was the best hunting place in Missouri. People came from St. Louis, Kansas City, Jefferson City, Rochester Minnesota and places unknown as the word gotout that this was a place any body was welcome to hunt. Dad always said that he never wanted any of us kid's to place no hunting signs up as he was a hunter and a fisherman and he and his fox hounds didn't know any boundaries and was welcome most of the time where ever he went. Another sport I enjoyed the most with dad was trapping. We made a lot of money selling furs dad was really good at this. I would still be trapping if my health would permit it. Even though I haven't hunted, fished or trapped since dad died. People from St. Louis that hunted there for years bought the 60 acres in the hill part where the St. Clair house set and they bulldozed the house down in 1998. They also bought Uncle John's property from Donald St. Clair for hunting. I doubt if they ever sell this as they really enjoyed their vacation hunting and eating out side here. They missedthe ground more than I did and would have bought the entire farm if they had known it was for sale. They own a large family Construction Company and could have well afforded it.
