Note: REFN5 According to her granddaughter, Maude St. Clair Veatch, Elizabeth had brothers named George and Alexander plus another brother she thought but whose name she could not remember. One of the brothers went to Nome, Alaska, and/or California. A sister, Mary, married Marvin Reynolds and lived in Iowa. She may have also lived in Alaska. It is interesting to note that the John Kellenbergerfamily with whom Elizabeth lived in 1850 had three sons: Willia, ten; Alexander, six; and Geoge, three. There were also tow daughters, Emily, six, and Emma, one. Elizabeth's relation- ship, if any, to the family is not known. Elizabeth was attending school at the time of the census in 1850. John Kellenberger's wife, the former Elizabeth Bishop, whom he married January 14, 1844, was born in 1826, nine years after her husband. Two other persons with the Lute surname were found in Ross County about the same time. one was Martha Lute, who on Oct. 20, 1846 married George Leter. In the census of 1850 there was a Samuel Lutes,(census spelling) There were also a number of persons with the name of Lutz.
