Note: NOTES: LAMAR COUNTY ECHO 31 Jan 1985. 'Hoyle L. Moore, 2608 Harris, Garland, died Friday, Jan. 25, in Garland Memorial Hospital. He was a native of Roxton. Services were held Saturday, Jan. 26, in the Williams Funeral Home Chapel in Garland. Graveside services and burial were at 4 p.m. Saturday, in Restland Cemetery in Roxton. Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home had charge of local arrangements. Mr. Moore was born in Roxton, a son of George Henry and Lucy Boyd Moore. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. He had lived in Garland for 33 years and served more than 30 years as a manager of a Kroger store before retiring in 1972. He was a member of Garland Lodge No. 441, AF and AM, York Rite Masons and the Dallas Commandry. Surviving are his wife; the former [Theresa] Elizabeth Phillips; one son, and daughter-in-law, Phillip Hoyle and Sylvia Moore of Rowlett; two grandchildren, Michelle and Amy Moore of Rowlett; a brother, Lloyd (Button) Moore of Roxton and two sisters, Mrs. Roy Umberson of Roxton and Mrs. Home Prater of Fort Worth'.[phillips.FTW]
