'(Picture) Mrs. Harold (Sarah Elizabeth) Reeder, affectionately known as 'Me-Me' to her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, died at 2:45 p.m. Wednesday Oct. 16, at Heritage Care Center. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, in the chapel of Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home with the Rev. Doug Miller officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m Friday at the funeral home. Mrs. Reeder was born Nov 10, 1901, in Petty, a daughter of Arthur Tyson and Sara Elizabeth Mayhew Swearingen. She had been a resident of Paris for 75 years. She attended public schools in Petty and Honey Grove, graduating as salutation of her class, and North Texas Normal College in Denton where she obtained a teaching certificate. She taught at Rock Hill School in the White Rock community. She was a faithful member of First United Methodist Church where she was a member of the New Era Sunday School Class. She was a member and past president of United Methodist Women, a member of the Naioth Bible Club, the McKinney Circle, and the XYZs. She also had been involved in local study clubs and other school and community organizations in the Paris area. She was a devoted mother and friend to those who survive: a son, Bill Reeder and his wife Anita of Carrollton; five daughters, Clara Story Nance and husband Richard of Paris, Helen Usher of McKinney, Ruth Abbett and husband Luke of Dallas, Jeanne Blackburn and husband Ira of Dallas, Marilyn Nall and husband Van of McKinney; 15 grandchildren; 25 great-grand-children; one great-great-grandchild; a sister, Vivian Shrum of Greenville, and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Steven Storey, Mike Blackburn, Van Nall, Hal Nall, Joe Nall and Bill Usher.' *On the same stone with Harold S. Reeder. Tombstone is inscribed, 'Elizabeth S. Reeder.'
