Note: r Force in 1951 during the Korean War, serving 8 years before his discharge in 1959. He was stationed at several bases Stateside with 2-year tours of duty in France and Greenland. After the service he drove a semi for Allied Van Lines and was based out of Fort Dodge, Iowa. After a separation from Martha he lived in Boulder, Colorado. He died from a massive heart attack at age 39 in 1972. His body was shipped back to Wisconsin for burial in Brodhead, Green County.
