Note: BIO:Born in Oakland, California on June 16, 1898. During the Great San Francisco earthquake of 1905, she stayed with the family of a Baptist Evangelist. Her father did not like the consequences of this sojourne and so kidnapped her and took her to Arizona. There he placed her in a convent for her safe keeping. Somewhere around 1915 to 1918, she met and married Thomas Francis Gannon (Sr) of Chicago area. They lived in that area where he worked for the U.S.Post Office driving an armored car. At that time, it was customary for the postal system to transfer money between banks and businesses. After one particularly deadly robbery on Thomas' route, Genevieve vowed that if he lived they would leave. As it turned out, he was on another route that day. But, she prevailed and took a job in Santa Clara, California. He became the Postmaster in ____ and worked there until his death in 1942.
