a. Note:   Copy of birth certificate for Michael Rochford was obtained in Ireland by Kelly Rochford gives date of birth as 10 Dec 1865 date on gravestone is 1867. Obit in Rutland newspaper for Michael states he was killed while working in the RR yards.His oldest son, my father-Charles Walston Howard would have been 7 or 8 at the time. Mary Jane and 5 children then lived with her father on his farm in Cavendish, Vt.. The boys had jobs in the woolen mill(Gays) in Cavendish from an early
 age(13-14).
