Note: Notes from "Memories of Robert R. Fulton" set down by Pauline Trout. " I was born on the corner of Locust and College Streets in Greencastle, Indiana, November 19, 1885. We lived there until I was three. Then we moved to the farm, four miles west of Bainbridge, Indiana, (parents buried at Centerville or Greencastle), which is ten miles north of Greencastle. There was a well on the farm, which is now right in the middle of State Road #43, just north of National #36. Then we moved back to Greencastle, where we lived for one year. Then we moved to Indianapolis, where my dad worked on the railroad for the Express Company. Two years later we moved to Lafayette, where dad ran from Lafayette to Chicago, IL (120 miles) on the Monon Railroad. Then we moved back to the farm and stayed there until I was 14. Whenever farm work was over in the fall, I would go to Indianapolis and work at different places." "When I was 19 I went to Louisville, Ky. and worked there that winter, then came back and went to work for the Express Company. When I was 24 I went to Peoria, Illinois and went to work for the CB&Q Railroad. Worked there one year then for the Larkins Company for one year, then I went to St. Louis, MO for the Express Co. again." "At 30 years old, I came to Crawfordsville and married Edith Scott. We stayed around there for 2 years, then we moved to East St. Louis for about 10 months. Came back to Crawfordsville (where Russ & Cere ((Cecil?)) were born) for 3 years, then moved to Indianapolis. (Hubert and Lois were born here). We moved to Boggstown, IN where we lived for 2 years. (Ray was born there). Then on advice of Bert and Bertha we moved to Brazil, Indiana (Joan was born there)." "We then moved to Terre Haute, Indiana, first place on Blaine Avenue, then Fort Harrison Road, then to Roach's place, then by 25th Streen, then 1435 Eagle, (Lorene and Bill were born Here). Then we moved to 2332 Cleveland Avenue, where Pauline was born. We moved again to the country (Cunot) for four years. Then we moved to 333 N. 21st Street and lived there for 11 years. Then moved to present home at 712 Cleveland Avenue, Hobart, Indiana, in 1957 where we have lived for six years. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------- Buried in Greencastle, Indiana.
