Obituary notice says: Lydia Anna Wells, a McGregor native died at 7:15 a.m.Wednesday July 5th in Fredericksburg. She was 82. Graveside services were heldat 2:00 p.m. Saturday July 8th 1995 at McGregor cemetary under the direction of Cole Funeral Home with Dr. Ron Sloan officiating. Mrs. Wells was born on September 18th 1912 in McGregor, the daughter of Oscar and Christina (Kneschk) Hoppe. She married Terry Monroe Wells who preceded her in death in November 1969. In 1935 she moved to Austin where she lived until 1980 when she moved to Kerrville, and in 1994 to Fredericksburg. She is survived by one daughter, Christine Otter, two sons James Oscar Wells of Montpelier, Virginia and Monroe Terry Wells on Spring Branch, nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
