Note: Last Will and Testament of James Noble, East Franklin Township, Count
Note: y of Armstrong, State of Pennsykvania. Registers Office, County Courthouse, Kittanning, PA. In the name of God, amen. I James Noble of the township of East Franklin, county of Armstrong, in state of Pennsylvania. Being sick and weak in body, but of sound mined, memory and understanding. (Praised be God for it) Considering the certainty of death and the uncertainty of the time thereof, and to the end I may be the better prepaired to leave this world, when ever it may please God, to call me hence. Do therefore make and declare this, my last will and testament in following first and , command my soul into the hands of almighty God my creator who gave it. In order that my funeral expences and of this my will,be in the first place fully paid and satisfied and after payment thereof, I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Martha, the farm during her natural life and at her death, I give and bequeath unto my son John, his undivided half of my said farm. To my son John to have the exclusive right to divide and make his choice of the land after divided and the other half of my said land shall be divided between my three daughters, Martha, Bella and Jane Monroe, equally share and share alike. My son Williams heirs, having received thrir shares will be seen by refering to the records of Armstrong county. And order at my death, that my son John shall then have a team of horses which he may select out of the horses than on the farm. This my will is that all my personal effects, goods and chattels, merchandise, shall be independently appraised and sold and divided equally. An equal fifth part I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Martha. And I give and bequeath to each of my children (John)(Martha)(Bella) and Jane Monroe, each one equal fifth part of all my personal property and effects. To share and share alike. To be paid to them as my executors may direct and and appoint John C. Noble and Wm.Hindman as my executors. And declair this only to be my last will and in witness whereof, I the said testator James Noble have to this, my last will and testament, set my hand and seal, the twenty seventh day of August AD 1878 spaces between words----illegible---
