a. Note:   N340 Williams' mother, Mildred Hardwick Palmer, died soon after his birth, He was raised by his half-sister, Mary Jane Palmer Jackson.
  Dates and places came from DAR applications and from 1890 "History of Fayette, Madison, and Pickaway Counties". William Palmer formed a company of men during War of 1812, but it was not called into service. He held the rank of captain. He served in the Ohio House of Representatives, 1840-41. "History of Fayette Co.", p. 651: William Palmer was a deacon and trustee of the First Universalist Church of Jeffersonville, organized August 5, 1860, and a charter member. William and Margaret are buried in Fayette Co. Ohio, near the Greene Co. line. (From Wash. C.H. go to Plymouth, turn left and go to the end of road. Center Church is on corner. Turn right on Allen Road, pass the church. Continue to the fork. Bear left for short distance and on the left is a house and two graves, William and Margaret's.) This is the family cemetery on Burwell Mills farm, her sister's husband.

  Wife of B.B.Mills- Nancy Whitsett :family burial site was/is family farm in Fayette County,Ohio...The Rev. Irvin made the headstones and fences surrounding the cemetery. In this cemetery are William Palmer and Wife , Burwell B. Mills and Wife - Nancy Whitset their children; Ephraim, Eliza, Abner, Polly Ann, Caroline, Joseph Addison, Charles Milton.
