1900 census: Pine Grove, pcnt. 1, Escambia Co., Alabama, p. 190a, HH#81, farmer, could read and write, he owned his farm free of debt. His father, Josiah, 85, was living with him. Somebody had inaccurately reported that Josiah was born in France. All children were still home.
