a. Note:   N3726 Next door to Martha and Moses in 1950 census, HH291, were John Miller, 60 and wife Sarah, 51, daughter Anns, 21, and Elenau, e mos. Could they have been the parents of Martha? John was b. in South Carolina and Sarah, Georgia.
  Some say Martha’s death was in 1858, in Covington Co., Alabama, but I have no documentation of that. If that is correct, then the last of her children would have been George W., b. March, 1958. Moses then married Martha Hughes, and they named their first child Martha. It was the custom to honor the first and deceased wife by naming a daughter for her. Of course, she may have been named after the second Martha.
