  Marvin Hodge Hi Barbara,

I just found your comment about the orphan Sophronia Heart and Cornelia Jordan. I, too, have been trying to figure this out for many years. Yesterday, I found the marriage record of "Melia Ann Hart" to James Gammen (should have been Garner). I've found her as Melia in the marriage record, Cornelia in a land sale and Camelia in the 1880 census. All these misspellings is why it took me so long to find the right person. Before finding the marriage record, I always assumed Cornelia Jordan had married Garner, even though one of her children's death certificate lists her name as Leia Hart and another says Parks. I researched the Jordan family to see if there was any Hart connection, but never found one. Have you made any progress is solving this mystery since you left your comment in 2012? I'm ready to solve this mystery once and for all.
