OH census DEATH: Obituary Timothy's dates were taken from his interment record. He died of dropsy. The death date was also in his obituary. He lived at 785 East Main St. in Columbus at the time of death. Stephen's obituaries show that Timothy, Stephen, and their brother Truman formed the Carpenter Brothers, a wholesale firm. They helped to develop the growing city of Columbus. The 1860 census showed that Timothy was a clothing merchant, $12000 and $2000. The 1870 census showed him to be a wholesale merchant, $40000 and $10000 The 1880 census found him and Roselia alone.
