Walter, 26 years old, married to John Walter, living in Santa Rosa Co., FL, with children Tabitha 6, Mary 4, Emily 2 1867-1945 Florida State census shows her as Elizabeth Walter, 31 years old, Married to Jno Walter, living in Santa Rosa Co., FL Children, Tabitha 11, Mary 9, Emily, 7 This must have been 1885, going by the age of the children. 1900 census shows her as Elizabyth Walthon, age 52 (back to original age) married to John Walthon, with children Emma 31, Sam 18, Willie 14 (my grandfather), Nancy 12, Jim Johnson 27, living in Escambia Co., Alabama. 1910 census shows her Dicey Walther 63, (wife of John H. Walther), with child, Ema 32, living in Santa Rosa Co., FL. 1920 census shows her as Dicy Walder, age 70, still in Santa Rosa Co., FL, widowed (actually divoreced, living with son Sam Walder and family.

Dicey married John Henry Walther (1848-1936) on Setptember 1, 1870. They were divorced in 1917. Burial: Fuqua Haveard Cemetery , Escambia County, Alabama, USA My mother, Carrie Lee Walther, knew her grandmother very well . She tells that Dicey was part Indian, maybe from her mother. She was real tiny, quite dark, very sweet, loved her very much, and she loved her in turn just as much.
