a. Note:   N147 “Faye Wilson Parkinson, 87, died Oct. 7 at Fairfield Nursing Center in Crownsville, after a lengthy decline from Alzheimer's disease. She was born Aug. 13, 1922, in Bartow, Fla. She earned a degree in Pharmacy from the University of Florida before moving to Maryland with her husband, James Robert Parkinson. She raised three boys while becoming a much-loved third grade teacher at Severna Park Elementary and Oak Hill Elementary, where she eventually became Vice Principal. Faye was a member of the Maryland Teachers Association and the Daughters of the American Revolution. She also published her husband's memoirs, spanning the early years of aviation, entitled "Tales of the Tower." She delighted in photography, quilting and genealogical research. She is survived by two sons, Glenn of Severna Park and Robert of Coral Springs, Fla.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24 at her home church, Severna Park Evangelical Presbyterian. She will be buried in a private ceremony at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Crownsville with her husband, who died Oct. 18, 1984.
