Note: N860 Alfred Bonnet, my grandfather, died when my father was only 20 years old. All I know of him is what I have heard from my father -- that he was a kind, gentle, amiable man, whose cleverness with mechanical devices earned him the nickname of “the Bicycle Doctor.” He had a business repairing small appliances, and was especially good with bicycles. His death at age 61 was a sore blow to my grandmother, who was at the time only 47.
