a. Note:   Hallie M. Bitterling Hallie M. BITTERLING, 73, Kewanna, died today at 7:10 a.m. in Woodlawn hospital. Born Sept. 20, 1896, in Pulaski county, she was the daughter of George and Capitola CRAMER GUSS. Her marriage was Sept. 20, 1916, to George BITTERLING, who survives. She was a member of the Lutheran church, Rochester. Surviving with the husband are two daughters, Mrs. Violet WILSON, Winamac, and Mrs. Elnora MALMGREN, Palos Heights, Ill.; two sons, Ralph BITTERLING, Kewanna, and Dale BITTERLING, Urbana, Ill.; one sister, Mrs. Daisy REINHOLT, Winamac; seven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Final rites will be Sunday at 3 p.m. in the Harrison Garden chapel, Kewanna. The Rev. Darwin LAVENGOOD will officiate. Burial will be in Bruce Lake cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Saturday.
